After having been extremely popular with its orange flavor, Nesbitt’s began to decline in the 1960s under the onslaught of Coca-Cola’s Fanta brand. Beginning in the early 1970s, ownership of the Nesbitt’s name has changed hands many times with it now being controlled by the company that holds Big Red. The Nesbitt’s name is licensed to several small regional bottlers with various flavors including orange still being made. Unfortunately for me, I have not seen it in its home area of Southern California in many, many years.
