While the correct mailing address would have indeed been Moriarty, the Longhorn Ranch lies a bit east of the city at Exit 203 of Interstate 40 that, to the south, connects to an approximately two-mile stretch of old U.S. Route 66 (the Mother Road’s 1937 alignment in New Mexico after it was routed away from Santa Fe). While there might be some other old signs remaining around this location, it might not be the best place to linger if traveling with young children as the "restaurant" seen next to this burned-out and partially-collapsed motel is actually a strip club.
