At one time, Pasquale’s could be found in many places in Ohio as well as in Indiana, Tennessee, and — as I remember with great drooling — all over Kentucky. There are not many locations remaining and I believe most of them run independently from one another. Oddly enough, it is not the pizza I miss from Pasquale’s but, instead, what they call a Stromboli Steak Sandwich. Every Pasquale’s I have found with an online menu still has it. I don’t know what it is about that sandwich as it is very simple thing that I can almost recreate at home but, boy, the last time I got to have one in 2007 at the location in Morehead, Kentucky, I almost cried manly tears of joy.
We had Pasquales pizza in Maysville Ky when I was growing up. One of my favorite sandwiches of all time was the Stromboli with Pizza sauce however not mushroom sauce it was horrible!
I don’t remember hating the mushroom sauce but I certainly preferred the regular.
