This is one of the clearest versions I have ever found of the original sign used by Ramada Inn. Thanks to the wonderful comments under the original posting of this picture, it jogged my memory that Ramada’s innkeeper mascot was named "Uncle Ben" (I wonder why the rice company never sued?). Uncle Ben was later dressed up much fancier before being completely dumped in 1976.
