I thought this was a very nice matchbook cover design. As always, I went looking to see if the place was still in business or whatever happened to it. As I was a little bit stymied as to whether the building shown on Google Maps was its location, I did a little bit of searching. Much to my delight, not only did Jordan Smith of Cardboard America fame already have a postcard of this place posted but it also shows the majorette on the matchbook wasn’t just a randomly selected piece of clip art.

Looking at Jordan’s postcard and the orientation of the building, I can unfortunately confirm this glorious business met a very plain, sad, and nameless fate.
