This store is now sadly closed but, at least as of September 2015, still standing and looking OK. I really hope somebody can find another use for it some day.
Hi there! My name is Zane Thomas, my father Owen Thomas grew up in rural Kentucky. Our family there had the country store. Later my father bought a small country store and my brother and I grew up working in it.
Now we are much older, retired, who owns that place? Perhaps we could buy it, put it back in service, and bring our family name full-circle.
You might have missed it by about three years. Google Maps Street View from April 2018 shows a big For Sale sign on the side of the building. However, a quick look online at one of the real estate listings states that the property is no longer available. Then again, you never know what it would take to get the new owner to sell. ;^) She’d be a gem to hold as that store has been there since the 1920’s.

Hey, I just drove by yesterday. The store is not in use and appears to have been that way for some time. I might drive by there again Saturday and see if anyone knows what’s up.
