There did ultimately come a time when "The Hut" finally closed. I cannot find any information on exactly when this happened. The address is now buried under Exit 56 of California State Route 180. However, due to the long, painful, and controversial planning and construction of that freeway, this place could have shut down well before that stretch was completed in 1995.
